Dr. Afrouz Nikmanesh, Pharm. D

Dr. Afrouz earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California in 1996, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She is licensed to practice pharmacy in California and brings nearly three decades of experience across diverse pharmacy settings, including national retail chains, independent pharmacies, and the California state prison system. Over the course of her career, she has dispensed nearly two million prescriptions – a record held by few pharmacists – and successfully managed pharmacy operations, leading teams of pharmacists and support staff.

As a former California Board of Pharmacy Inspector, she has expertise in state and federal pharmacy law and regulations. In her role, she conducted inspections, investigated cases involving prescription drug diversion and insurance fraud, and ensured pharmacies maintained compliance with regulatory standards. Her work has also included close collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on matters involving controlled substances and healthcare fraud investigations.

Dr. Afrouz is also an approved probation consultant by the California Board of Pharmacy. As a probation consultant, she has assisted numerous pharmacists and pharmacies in meeting probation requirements and restoring compliance.

Today, she is a highly sought-after pharmacy consultant, specializing in compliance, regulatory guidance, and mock inspections across California. Her detailed approach and practical insights have helped many pharmacy owners and pharmacists achieve full compliance during California Board of Pharmacy inspections.

In addition, she collaborates with law firms as both a consultant and an expert witness in administrative, civil, and criminal healthcare cases. She has testified in pharmacy disciplinary hearings, Medi-Cal fraud cases and administrative appeals, making her a trusted voice in pharmacy-related legal matters.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Afrouz is deeply committed to health and fitness. She is an accomplished fitness competitor, holding multiple medals in state and local competitions. She is also the inventor and U.S. patent holder of a unique exercise equipment, CoreStrike.
